- One of the successful Open Space Bond conservation projects in partnership with Essex County Greenbelt and MA DCR
- In 2010, a conservation agreement with property owners allowed for the creation of a public trail easement through the property from Essex Road north to Argilla Road
- The Essex County Trails Association maintains these trails in cooperation with landowners
- Conservation agreement also protects approximately 275 acres from future development with the majority of the acreage intended for agricultural purposes
- Parking available on:
Argilla Road end of trail
Across Essex Road from the property on Candlewood Road on the southern end of the property
Parking is not allowed on state highways (Essex Road) per state law
A little over a mile from one end to the other
Important note: Please stay on the trail at all times and do not interfere with farm operations. Be sure to close all gates you pass through to keep the farm animals in their pastures.
