The Public Health Nurse responsibilities include infectious and communicable disease surveillance, investigation, reporting and control, case management for tuberculosis patients and their contacts, organizing an annual immunization clinic for influenza and monthly wellness clinics, providing health education, and promoting disease prevention programs.
Monthly Wellness Clinics are held at 6 Caroline Avenue on the second Wednesday of the month from 10:30am -12:00pm. This program is offered free of charge to residents of all ages. At the clinic you can request to have your blood pressure, heart rate, and body weight checked and have any medication or other health related questions answered.
