Wastewater

The Ipswich Wastewater Department consists of two divisions, treatment and collection.  It is responsible for the collection, conveyance and treatment of the wastewater generated by its 2,100 customers. The Department is also responsible for the discharge of the treated wastewater (effluent). All departmental operations are regulated by the EPA through a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit.
